I’ve been thinking their angelic wings might be fake and just an accessory. I will be holding more polls if certain ones are chosen, or this proves to do bad.

post-s11 Tami definitely gets tired of Lip and leaves him.
yes, I do like them as a couple, I think it is an interesting dynamic and that Tami is good for him honestly, even though they lived completely different lives and crash so many times because of it throughout the last seasons.
fact is Lip won't ever change and will keep making the same kind of mistakes and she will get fed up with it eventually. they'll go different ways, maybe keep a somewhat friendly relationship, and she will get a new partner and Lip will have a Sean kind of relationship with Fred: that kid is the most important thing in his whole life and he's constantly hunted by the fear of drinking again and hurting Fred.

also i really really really hate tami
i hate that shes pretentious in that never had to struggle financially a day in her life way; and thats fine at first if the characters or the narrative ever made it seem like it was a bad thing but they dont its just like shes a cunt about it and no one is going to address it ever even tho we literally keep talking about how gentrification is bad like what
and then the AUDACITY that she has to ciritcize lip for his lack of communication?? like lip sucks at talking about his feelings but holy shit this is coming from a person who just up and quit her job without giving Lip a heads up??? the one who assumed Lip was sleeping with other women even when he said otherwise and decided to go out to try to get laid??? EXCUSE ME
And also this would be fine if the narrative showed it in a way thats like they both suck at communication, but it doesnt??? the narrative is never critical of Tami; it just shrugs off her and her familys behavior like thats just how it is
gives me misogynist vibes in the sense of "thats just how women are, they never say what they want so theres nothing to criticize there"

Look. LOOK. I've been TRYING to get a diagnosis. Any diagnosis. Anything at all. FOR OVER 12 YEARS.
Do you know what I know? I know that I'm harvesting a fucking weed out of my LAWN for pain relief because nothing else works. (It's henbit)
Do you know how desperate things have to be for you to start googling "is this flower going to kill me if I consume it" as the best possible lead you have?
Do you understand that that for 12 years the doctors have done every blood test that exists, CT scans, MRIs, everything short of exploratory surgery which I would have agreed to if I could fast long enough and that my paperwork is fucking FLAWLESS.
On paper I am a perfect human being and at my worst I couldn't sit upright.
Full stop.
Non diagnosis is valid.
Self diagnosis is valid.
Also fuck whatever is trying to eat my spine, you're fighting a dragon and dragons don't roll over.
can we talk abt disabled people without a concrete diagnosis. how diagnosis can be a privilege inaccessible for dozens of reasons. how even if you do happen to be fortunate enough to have access to doctors and specialists, it isnt easy to figure things out. how people dismiss invisible and undiagnosed disabilities. how the posibility of the issue being psychosomatic is used as a weapon to invalidate experiences. can we talk about how disabled people don't have to know why they're struggling for them to struggle.

Summary: When hunting for the Leviathan blossom, Castiel gets taken. Tired, desperate and wanting to tell him all the things left unsaid before it’s too late, Dean prays to him. But he realises... standing there, in the grey hellish landscape, the portal home flickering just beside them with seconds left on the timer, they're already were too late.
Running himself ragged fuelled solely by caffeine, whisky, and that trademark Winchester determination, he will find a way to stop Chuck and to save Cas. However, this isn't the blaze of glory Dean had always envisioned going out in. But, deep down, he would go out swinging to save a loved one. Those bright shining penetrating tear-soaked eyes are the last thing he sees before his vision is marred, the desperate plea of his name dampened by the black ooze filling his eardrums as the essence of the Empty wraps around him and pulls him pulled from existence into the dark.
All because of that simple prayer, the ending Chuck had always planned was rewritten.
The Unbroken | @casblackfeathers
Rating: Explicit
Word Count: 126,551
Main Tags/Warnings: zombie apocalypse, bed sharing, hurt and comfort, angel castiel, protective dean, soft dean, endverse, bamf castiel, bottom dean
Summary: Dean’s life had been made of running. He ran from a curse that had desolated his life ever since he was a child — whenever he got hurt, he turned into a goddamn human-torch, killing everyone around him — and he ran from himself and his own self-loathing.
But managing all that at the end of a world full of Croats lurking around every corner was easier said than done.
Until a mysterious man with tousled dark hair paired with blue eyes as clear as the sky during a hot summer’s day stopped him from free falling, literally. In one fell swoop, the stranger had not only saved his life but also calmed the wildfire threatening to burn everything in its wake.
There was something about Castiel that made Dean want to stop running but also hid something darker — something Dean couldn’t quite put his finger on. And between soft, pillowy lips and feather-like fingerprints, Cas could very well shatter Dean’s world and maybe help save the whole world in return.

Summary: The year is 1966, the place is Kansas, and Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak are falling in love. But with Castiel under the thumb of his conservative parents and Dean set to ship out to Vietnam, there is no possible future for them.
As Castiel’s life turns upside down and the hell of Vietnam threatens to swallow Dean’s soul, it will take everything they have to find their way back to each other. But some things are worth waiting — and fighting — for.

difference between the first seasons of shameless and the last seasons imo
read beneath the cut, it’s pretty long
what i think really changed about the last seasons of shameless compared to the first seasons is how they tried to incorporate the audience. i’ve seen writers/producers say that they tried to set up the cameras in a way that made it feel like the audience was a part of the family, or a visitor confused by all the chaos.
i think that idea was lost in later seasons and you stop feeling like a part of the show, but even more than that, the audience becomes very detached from everything.
further, i think the characters began to lack the same weight that they did before. as they all start to grow up and become steadier as people, the show also loses its chaotic appeal. by the time the characters were all adults, the writers seemed lost on how to add that gritty dark element that the show had initially without becoming repetitive. there’s only so many times that frank can have some ridiculous storyline that hurts his kids where fiona has to pick up the pieces. it gets boring.
so to try and stop that happening, they ran with old comedic devices that i felt shameless had always deviated from, or at least exaggerated. but no, in the last seasons the show fully leans into them. it becomes more like a sitcom, like modern family or friends.
with tami and lip, it was tami getting insecure about lip possibly liking someone else and lip coming up with all these schemes on how to spend less money and hide that he was going for cheaper options from his girlfriend.
with debbie, it was the show leaning into the whole milkovich/gallagher thing and trying for a new pairing which honestly was entirely lacking. we had more development on her and mattie’s storyline (which was gross) than her and sandy. they turn debbie into a caricature and leave her without much emotional development, taking away any of the audience’s compassion towards her.
with carl, it was the whole police thing, where he struggled with his annoying boss and then his second annoying boss.
with liam, it was him becoming very mature very quickly, but lacking the same depth that debbie and carl got at his age. that’s just my opinion of him, bare in mind i haven’t watched his scenes in season 10/11 recently.
with ian and mickey, it was them becoming that TYPICAL comedic couple, with the show taking away a lot of what made them different. So many of their storylines were full of pointless arguments and unsatisfying resolutions. they tried to make them almost middle class, removing mickey’s skill in crime and making him look lazy. taking away all of ian’s emotional development and making him seem pissed off constantly. they don’t seem to understand each other the way they did before.
don’t even get me started on kev and v. they were one of the most interesting storylines at the beginning, and they suddenly became boring.
fiona left, so i can’t comment much on her.
shameless also lacks the connection the show used to have between storylines. every character was somehow connected to another character at the start, all the different plots influencing each other. that quality was lost later on.
at the beginning, the show made great points about poverty and politics without needed to obviously explain each one. it was metaphorical, an example of poverty and of people and relationships and life. In later seasons, it becomes too obvious for me. the messages the show is trying to convey are much more clear and surface level, which means the impact of these messages is reduced.
it’s like the difference between someone giving you an example of a specific person who has been abused, let’s say. You can either tell an emotive story about that abuse or you can say, they were abused, this is wrong. shameless originally was emotive, giving you connections to characters and therefore adding weight and meaning to their stories. It becomes shallow when the show gives its messages in plain ways. like the conversation that ian had with that woman in the furniture shop about the election results in season 11. sure, ian was right, but it doesn’t have the same impact when delivered in that way. if they’d done the show the same as they did in the first seasons, i’m sure the message would have been conveyed more passionately and effectively.
now, this is just my opinion. i don’t hate the last two seasons, but it wasn’t very shameless-esc. I also don’t write TV shows, so i don’t know exactly how to fix all those things
i do enjoy the last seasons, it wasn’t all bad. but it was different to the first ones, and that is something to comment on.

And now we are onto tamishiko Tamirumare, herself aka tami for short. She has two appearances/outfits in yokei godneu, the present day outfit seen above, and the jester outfit seen below.
Tumblr media
In yokei godneu: to be a hero, Tami is the comic relief, butt monkey, and rival character to the party, working under the main antagonist of yokei godneu. Despite the main antagonist’s views towards the protagonists, and humans, tami is more accepting to it, however, they are still loyal to the main antagonist, despite that. They are fought multiple times, each time adding in new moves, and new tricks, and introduces the major bosses of yokei godneu, often leading to them be squished, however, tami becomes the last major boss before the main antagonist. Tami is surprisingly durable, kinda like a toon character, can duplicate herself, and knows a wide variety of tricks inculding singing, and dancing, as well as some other tricks you wouldn’t expect.

Thy blood shall flow through mine || Aemond Targaryen x Reader
Tumblr media
What's up my loves, it's been a while! After I watched the new trailer and everything I couldn't contain my excitement and I just HAD to write something to cope with the 1 month we have left until season 2! I got the inspo for this from my Old English classes and as much as I was disgusted during class my mind had to turn this into an Aemond fic bc let's be honest, that man could be nastyyyy...
I'm not gonna lie this one is a bit rusty but it's been a while since I've written about Aemond and I was in my 3rd coffee omfor the day as I wrote it so yeah...enjoy

W.C: 1k
Mark but this knife, and mark in this, How little that which thou deniest me is;
It sucked me first, and now sucks thee, And in it our two bloods mingled be;
Thou know’st that this cannot be said
A sin, nor shame, nor loss of maidenhead, Yet this enjoys before it woo, And pampered swells with one blood made of two, And this, alas, is more than we would do.
The letter was ripped apart in your hands moments after you read it out loud. Your uncle stood in front of you, his face covered with an unreadable expression as he watched you read his letter, the one of many you had found in your rooms.
The beautiful letter A sat neatly written in the bottom right corner of the parchment.
The first time you received one of these you were scandalized. Who could be so shameless to address such shameful writings to a princess? The first person who came to mind was your uncle Aegon, after all this was something that he would do with no doubt.
But then, as the letters kept coming you realized that the fool who dared call himself the future heir to the Iron Throne lacked the mental capacity to come up with such carefully crafted words, arranged in such way that send chills down your spine every time you read them. Aemond. It had to be him.
"Have you lost your mind, Aemond?" You asked, voice raising slightly as you looked at him, a desperate expression plastered on your face. "What if one of my maids found it? What if it got to my mother? Or the Queen? Not even Balerion himself could save me from their wrath. How could you be so senseless? And they call you the brightest one of the King's children!"
Everything that had been piling inside of you for the past few weeks finally came out as you voiced all of your frustrations.
The ripped pieces of paper gracefully fell from your fingers as they made their way towards the burning fire that lit up your chambers.
Your hand slowly made its way towards your face, touching the now wrinkled skin of your forehead as you felt the slowly forming headache that was going to torment you until dawn.
Seconds later, a larger, colder hand wrapped itself around yours, pulling you closer to a firm chest. The much familiar aroma of leather from riding gear, and hints of smoke and ash filled your nostrils.
"Hush, little hatchling. Do not fill yourself with excess frustrations. The Red Keep does not need another burnt scrub of the gardens." Aemond hushed against your ear. You could feel the corners of his mouth curl upwards as they hovered over the shell of your ear.
The contact with his body alongside his raspy voice stirred something deep inside you that made you shiver.
"We both know the way you've been looking at me for the past few moons. After that day in the courtyard, when my blade cut across your arm. It is soaked with your blood as much as it is with mine. Tell me, hatchling, does this not count as the consumation of a marriage? Is our blood not mingled together as it would be inside our own child? You are mine, hatchling, you've always been and will always be."
Aemond's words caused your breath to get caught inside your lungs, hot waves pulsating through your body.
His arms slowly encircled your waist, like a snake wrapping around their pray. He was the beast, you were his pray, and you've been willingly letting him sink his teeth in your neck for weeks now, taming you as his pet, his little hatchling that was about to become him forever.
" We can't, Aemond. Not when a war is about to rage above King's Landing and we're about to be on the opposing sides. I cannot let you take my hart in your possession only for you to shatter it to pieces the moment your grandfather blows his whistle at you like a dog and makes you drive a sword in between my mothers eyes!" You voice came out broken, eyes misty and reddish.
" I would rather drive that same sword through my grandfather's skull than let him take you away from me, Y/N!" Aemond snapped, his anger finally surfacing despite the facade he attempted to put up for you.
It never worked with you, him trying to hide what he truly felt. It's always been like this, to you, he was like an open book. No secrets, no nothing.

I pull Maia to the side while Death handles its business.
Wade: Maia, babe-I’ve got you! Everything is going to be okay.
Maia looks helpless, like an innocent child.
Maia: He’s gone, Dub. My father is gone.
Wade: I know, but I’m here for you.
Maia: We... what do we do? Who do we call? His friends? A funeral?
Maia is withering before me. I straighten my back and look her directly in the eyes on autopilot…not thinking, not planning, not fixing—just being here for my family.
Wade: I know, baby. Let me take care of all of that. I’ve got this. You see about Tami. I’ll make all the phone calls.
Maia: Are you sure?
Wade: Of course! I’ll do all of it. Take Tami upstairs.

honestly i was so mad when i watched that orgy scene in s11 and at the whole monogamy situation bc wdym they're not already monogamous without having to talk about it? as if they're not borderline obsessed with each other and also jealous asf and they constantly was being pulled apart from each other through the whole show, how can ian or mickey want somebody else after all shit they went through? i just hope that they didn't actually fuck anyone and just banged in the bathroom or smth😭also when i see fics with gallavich/omc? 💀 saw this from a popular writer and i was like hell nah im not reading ts
no for fucking real those 2 are the most jealous men to ever walk the planet
on one hand i get it. they both had insecurities that made them feel like the other wouldnt want to only sleep with them for the rest of their lives. ian is the only guy mickey canonically dates and has sex with multiple times. mickey felt like ian would eventually leave him like he had in the past also multiple times.
so in the first episode the monagamy conversation seemed normal to me. they literally both specifically say "i dont want you to fuck anyone else" and mickey was obviously just waiting to see ians answer because he wanted to do whatever ian wanted. if he did write down "open relationship," it wouldve been because he thought thats what ian wanted. personally i think he didnt write anything down because he was still trying to grasp the concept of him and ian being a "normal" married couple that communicated heathily and didnt run away and flirt with/fuck other people when they got scared.... plus he actually cant spell monogamy hes a dyslexic with an 8th grade education
so that episode was fine on its own. if they wouldve left it at that, it wouldve been a silly cute moment in their bumpy marriage. but then the writers had to make that stupid ass orgy episode. first of all why the shit would they NEED to be friends with other gay men, and WHY ARE THE ONLY OPTIONS TO EITHER BE THEIR FRIENDS OR FUCK THEM??? IT LITERALLY MAKES NO SENSE. DID THEY NOT JUST DECIDE IN EPISODE ONE THAT THEY WERE GONNA BE MONOGAMOUS?
i actually cannot stand how the writers (and the fandom by extension) cant let gay characters have their boundaries and be left alone. why the fuck do they have to be open to straight sex and orgies and nonmonogamy and being verse WHY CANT GAY PEOPLE HAVE BOUNDARIES. CAN YOU IMAGINE IF THERE WAS RANDOMLY A SCENE IN SEASON 11 WHERE TAMI ASKED LIP 'HOW DO YOU KNOW YOURE STRAIGHT IF YOUVE NEVER GOT FUCKED IN THE ASS BY A GUY?' AND THEN HE ACTUALLY WENT OUT AND DID IT??? YOU CANT IMAGINE IT BECAUSE IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN THEY ONLY DO THIS SHIT WITH GAY CHARACTERS!!!!
the inability to understand that gay people can also have preferences and hard limits actually blows my mind. and if you dont like it youre somehow a prude or dont understand the characters. actually i fear i understand the characters more than the writers do.
and im okay with showing characters experiment! but its very telling that in Shameless, it only happens with queer characters who are pretty fucking firm in their sexual identity and boundaries. why did debbie have to fuck a gay guy in season 11. why do ian and mickey have to be verse why do ian and mickey have to be polyamorous. why did ian have to fuck a woman to "truly know" hes gay. why did svetlana have to all but announce shes a lesbian but still date kev instead of just date vee. why does this only happen to gay characters!!!
the trope of queer men specifically being easy and dtf is why the AIDS crisis was so deadly. because queer men are so open to sharing sex fantasies and sharing partners and sharing needles, right? its just a gay problem, and its better for all of us if theyre dead anyway, so lets ignore it until it goes away
maybe not every queer man needs to be written as a polyamorous verse switch bisexual-under-the-right-circumstances only-married-for-tax-reasons-not-because-they-love-their-life-partner idk! this is a haters only area so if you dont like me hating why are you here⁉️

Hunting Party
tws: use of tobacco/smoking, discussions of missing persons
Ivy paced around in a circle in front of the table her remaining family sat at. Most of her relatives had left and gone off to who knows where so that her mother could hold a little “council meeting” to decide what to do with the sad excuse for information the kids had given them.
The dinner was over. Maple’s friends had all left. They’d barely told them ANYTHING about where her son was. All they did was say they knew where Maple was but they couldn’t tell her family anything! Don’t worry, though! They’ll find Maple themself! And her mother did NOTHING to stop them! She just let them leave peacefully so that the Hounds could talk about it. Talk. As if they’d actually gotten real information.
At Ivy’s feet, Tami followed her, the absol walking in the same circles she did.
“You seem stressed…” her sister said, carefully, like she expected Ivy to explode if anyone said anything to her. To her credit, she was right. Ivy was not in the mood for a peaceful conversation after still not knowing shit nor fuck about what was going on with her fucking kid!
“I seem stressed because I FUCKING AM, ACORN!” Ivy yelled, a growl rising from her throat as she whipped around and slammed her hands on the table right next to where her sister sat. Acorn flinched back in her seat at the loud noise and frowned at Ivy. Behind her, Ivy was vaguely aware that Tami had jumped in surprise as well.
“I’m just trying to comfort you! I know this is hard-”
“I don’t want comfort!” Ivy snapped, cutting off her sister. “I want to know Maple is safe!” It was FINE when she didn’t ever see Maple and only got the occasional updates on her! At least she knew Maple was FINE! Venus kept an eye on her…
She turned to to face Venus
“HOW THE FUCK DID YOU LET THIS HAPPEN!?” from his spot at the table, her friend seemed surprised that she’d suddenly pivot to yell at him over their missing son.
“I was in Area Zero for a month?” Venus said, clearly worried for her. “Ivy you’re lashing out right now, calm down-”
“I AM CALM-”
Other voices began to rise up, arguing, trying to get Ivy to take a seat and calm down. Even Tami began to yowl, making noise just to emulate the humans.
“I thought we were supposed to be discussing things like sane adults?” Ryoko’s voice cut through the rest, silencing the group, absol included. Her mother waited a moment to make sure everyone was silent, taking a puff off of a cigar and slowly letting the smoke escape from her mouth.
“We’ve all calmed down?” Ryoko asked, but it wasn’t a question, more a command for them all to behave. “Good. Ivy, take a seat.”
“But-” Ivy’s protest was quickly silenced by her mother.
“No ‘buts’. Take the seat across from me. If you have a point to make, you’ll make it like an adult, not like a scared dog or a child throwing a fit” Ryoko gestured at the seat with her cigar before taking another puff.
A quiet, frustrated growl rumbled through Ivy, but she did as she was told and sat across from her mother. Tami followed soon after, settling at her feet, while her houndoom, Marrow, made its way over from across the room to sit beside her and rest its head on her lap. Ryoko watched this before speaking again.
“So, what did we learn from this?” her mother asked, looking around the group.
“The kids supposedly know whe-” Phlox began, but Ivy cut her brother off before he could finish.
“We learned nothing! NOTHING!” She wanted to stand back up again, she wanted to yell until it felt like her family actually took her seriously. Somewhere through the anger there was a small voice that reminded Ivy that her family DID take her seriously, but she was far too emotional to think rationally right now and they just wanted her to calm down a little. Unfortunately, being far too emotional to think rationally also stopped Ivy from listening to that small voice.
“Ryoko, could you imagine if you acted like this when Ivy went missing?” Ivy heard her auntie say softly with a little laugh.
“We’d be missing half the cities in Hoenn if she did!” her Uncle chimed in, equally amused by the little joke. It was just the gentle teasing that family was good at, a little joke to take the edge off, but in that moment, Ivy felt like her family didn’t give a single fuck about Maple or her. Was she insane? Was she in the wrong for being this concerned?
Beside her Venus cleared his throat. “Can we please actually discuss our missing kid?” Phlox and Acorn soon joined in, requesting for the conversation to get back on track, clearly picking up on Ivy’s ever growing frustration over it all.
“Fine. The kids are hiding things from us. They’re going to do something stupid, and we should follow them,” Ryoko finally said bluntly. No more bullshit or dancing around the actual point. Ivy’s mother had actually said something worth listening to.
The rest of the people in the room immediately jumped into questions and arguments. Ivy stayed silent.
“Why do we need to follow them? Surely their family will know where they are!” Ivy’s uncle said, being the first to disagree with the plan.
“They aren’t telling us where they’re going, and we’re the ones with the missing child. What makes you think they plan to tell their families what they’re doing? If they don’t trust us with the information about where Maple supposedly is and the way to find her, why would they tell their families?” Ryoko responded, blowing out more smoke.
“Well they only just left the dinner! We probably have time to convince them before they leave, no need to follow,” Acorn argued.
“They’ve probably already left,” Phlox joined the argument, countering their sister. “Miguel left with the rest of them, and they live here. They could be well on their way to Kalos by now if they took the train, and we wouldn’t know.”
“Then we just have to let them do something stupid! It’s too dangerous to follow them!” Ivy’s Uncle chimed in again, slamming his fist on the table.
Ivy heard Venus speak up from beside her. “And it’s not dangerous for them to go alone?”
“If they go missing after Maple, it’s suspicious, but we’re not,” her uncle began, “If some of us go missing at the same time as the other kids, their families will all look at The Hounds.” By now Ivy could tell he had made his choice, and likely wouldn’t change his mind.
“He’s right,” Acorn Agreed with her uncle. “We could be putting the family in danger by following them. After everything with Lucian, the Wyrmwoods have become extremely protective over those kids.” Ivy didn’t like how her sister seemed to be against this idea. How she seemed to be content to just let Maple stay who knows where for who knows how long.
“The Wyrmwoods wouldn’t go after us,” Ivy said firmly, finally joining the argument.
“What about the Velascos then? We have a much less positive relationship with them!” Acorn shot back.
“The Velasco’s know better than to try with us. They know damn well we know how to kill a psychic,” their aunt replied, making her distaste for the family clear in both tone and body language.
“This isn’t a conversation about killing psychics!” Ivy’s brother jumped in, trying to steer it back towards the discussion on if they should follow the teens or not.
“If you follow them it might have to become one, though,” her aunt argued
“The Wyrmwoods and Velascos won’t think we’re at fault! Maple’s missing too!” Phlox crossed his arm as he gave his rebuttal. At least one of her siblings seemed to want to help, Ivy thought.
“And what if they think Maple’s only missing because we decided we were done waiting for her to come back to us?” Ivy’s Uncle jumped back in, coming up with a new what if to add to the scenario as an argument against his sister’s plan to follow the kids. “If they begin to think we’re at fault, all logic will be thrown out! Our genuine concern will start to look like an elaborate show in order to draw suspicion elsewhere!”
Acorn continued to bring up the other families, which as far as Ivy was concerned, was the opposite of contributing to this conversation meaningfully. “We’re focusing too much on Wyrmwoods and Velascos. What about the other families? What about the Delgados?”
“If they’re as passive as Reina’s boytoy is, then they’re irrelevant to this conversation,” Ivy responded quickly.
“Miguel’s family?” Acorn tried again.
“They’d understand if Ivy and I explained it to them,” Venus replied. Ivy nodded her head in agreement.
“One of Nihilego Boy’s parents is in law. Do you think he’s good enough to win?”
“I think he’s smart enough to be quiet if push comes to shove,” Ivy’s aunt responded.
“Auntie, can you stop coming up with solutions that involve threatening their parents?” Phlox asked, clearly wanting this conversation to stop being about the other families.
“She’s right. Keahi, stop coming up with solutions that involve threatening their parents,” Ryoko stepped in, chastising her sister. “Aspen seems like he has reasonable parents anyways”
“I just… I don’t think this is a good idea! What if the kids don’t even actually know anything and lead us on a wild swanna chase!” Acorn leaned her head on one hand propped up on the table. Why was Acorn so good at making Ivy feel so bitter about her? Did she know she was doing it? Did she know she was the sibling who always had the least struggle? She was clearly pissing Phlox off too.
“Then we go on a wild swanna chase! I would have torn up all of Spikemuth if I had to in order to find my kids after the Darkest Day, and honestly I think it’s only fair that we let Ivy follow them to her kid!”
“This is different than the aftermath of The Darkest Day!” Acorn argued, stumbling into a fight like an idiot. “How!?”
The Hounds began to descend into chaotic arguing again, everyone with different ideas on how things should be handled and why. Ivy ignored the loudness as best she can, focusing on the houndoom begging for pets and the absol laying across her feet.
Maybe the stress of it all was getting to more than just Ivy. She couldn’t remember the last time a discussion like this had gone so off rails so many times.
The arguing got louder and louder until Ivy was pretty sure they were all arguing about completely different things, when Ryoko finally made the choice to silence them all again.
“All of you! Quiet! We’re done arguing!” Ryoko had put her cigar out and stood up, towering over the people sitting at the table. “We’ve wasted enough time tonight. We’re putting this to a vote. Whatever wins out among the seven of us is our final decision. Is this clear?” All around Ivy she saw her family nod.
“Good.”
Ivy sat silently as her mother went around the circle, staring down at her hands as she pet her Marrow to try and calm down. Ryoko gave her own vote before taking the votes of the others. By the time everyone but Ivy had voted, it was an even split. Her sister, her aunt, and her uncle had all voted to just sit back and let it play out without getting involved, while her brother, her friend, and her mother all voted to follow the kids.
Ivy felt her mother’s gaze on her. Ryoko said nothing. She didn’t have to. Ivy knew she got to make the choice on what they did. She stood up, Tami and Marrow moving aside in response to let her.
“I’m going to follow them myself.”
